Green Andy is a musician from New York City. Actually, he's originally from Detroit. He started making music as Green Andy in 2002. Before that, he was in a series of bands (usually as singer), but not everyone has the patience to deal with his musical inclinations, so Andy generally gets more done on his own. While he's better at it than he used to be, Andy still can't play any musical instruments, or read music. He'll fix that eventually. He likes all kinds of music, but then, who doesn't? Green Andy has released 16 albums, and has failed to turn a profit with any of them thus far. But hey, money isn't everything.

In addition to music, Green Andy also counsels the world at large via his advice column, Ask Green Andy. The masses deluge him daily with questions both trivial and life-threatening, and Andy handles them all with the same level of care. Which either means he's being way too thorough with about half of them, or not nearly careful enough with the other half.
