April 5, 2010
The Crash Mansion NSNSND show has come and gone, and more spring shows are on their way for the band. Meanwhile, for Green Andy it's just recording, recording and more recording. I've archived all the crap I've made in the last two months and started fresh, so that this new album will be made of completely post-birthday material. I'm turning into the Axl Rose of Independent Artists Making Music That Nobody Gives a Shit About.
March 2, 2010
I'm still spending all my off-hours working on the new Green Andy album, which I hope to have done by the end of this month (or next...it's kind of vague right now). In the meantime, here are some photos from last Tuesday's NSNSND show, but be careful because they're WHITE HOT! Also, don't forget that the band is playing again on March 31 at Crash Mansion, which coincidentally my freaking 33rd birthday. You really need to BE THERE.

February 15, 2010
Yeah yeah, I know, I haven't updated in a while. I do have other things to do besides keep you people informed of my comings and goings, you know. But this is a coming/going that you really need to be made aware of: In just a week (February 23), I'll be doing another show with NO SHIRT NO SHOES NO DICE at Don Pedro's in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Our friends The Post Ops will be there too, and like any NSNSND outing (or Green Andy outing, for that matter) it's sure to be a cultural event that will go down in history as one of the most significant occurrences of Western Society. So you probably shouldn't miss it.
December 6,2009
The debut No Shirt No Shoes No Dice show went GREAT! We'll have audio recordings and photos and maybe even a video or two for you soon, so stay tuned! Well, I guess websites aren't really "tuned" like a television set, but continue to come back to this website and you'll get to see (and hear) some of the stuff I was talking about.
December 1, 2009
Don't forget: my band No Shirt No Shoes No Dice is playing this Friday at the Trash Bar! And unlike those stupid free Green Andy performances, we're willing to charge you seven bucks to get in! And if that sounds like a downside rather than an upside, bear in mind it's an open bar with free pizza from 8 to 9, so get there on time!
November 26, 2009
Missed the last Green Andy show? Well I hate you for it, but I can't deny you the chance to hear the live sounds of Green Andy, so head over to my Live Music page, and my 11/21 show is now available in all its sonic glory.
November 22, 2009
The latest Otto's show has come and gone, and shame on you if you missed it, because you missed your free copy of THE DEATH OF STROLL, and plus you're just a stupid jerk who doesn't come to Green Andy shows. There'll be another gig in early January, and I'll get you the details on that as soon as they're available. Your next best bet for seeing me live is going to be as the singer of NO SHIRT NO SHOES NO DICE at our Dec. 4 show at the Trash Bar. I don't recommend missing that one. In the meantime, download an MP3 copy of THE DEATH OF STROLL on my music page now!
November 21, 2009
SHOW TIME. Come see me play tonight at Otto's Shrunken Head, and get your free copy of THE DEATH OF STROLL, and obviously also stay and watch me play some music.
November 16, 2009
The new album is ready! THE DEATH OF STROLL will be available for download on Sunday, November 22, but if you want to get yourself a physical copy, just head on down to Otto's Shrunken Head this Saturday night and grab one right out of my hand!
November 14, 2009
Okay, people...only one stinking week until I play live at Otto's Shrunken Head, and I had better see you all there. Yes, it's free. Yes, I'll be handing out free CDs and possibly candy. All that stuff is standard Green Andy. But this show will be special for another reason: at Otto's on the 21st, I will be aided and abetted by a DRUMMER. That's right: Green Andy with a backing band. A one-man backing band, but that's still twice as many musicians as you're used to at a Green Andy show. So I can promise you that you've never seen THIS particular Green Andy show before. And if it explodes in my face, you may never again! So don't miss it!
October 8, 2009
Finally, some goddamn live shows! I'll be playing at Otto's Shrunken Head on Saturday, November 21, and I'll be handing out free CDs at the show. And not just any old CDs...CDs of my as-yet-unreleased NEW ALBUM. Not bad for a free show, eh? Then on Friday, December 4, NO SHIRT NO SHOES NO DICE will be rocking the stage at The Trash Bar in Williamsburg with yours truly on the microphone. That show is courtesy of our friends and colleagues Stewart, so when you come to see us, stay for their set as well. Oh, and get there early, because it's an open bar and free pizza from 8pm to 9pm that night. ::whew!:: Time to start rehearsing.

September 9, 2009
It's not huge news, but my Facebook Fan Page now has a proper address: http://www.facebook.com/GreenAndy. Perfect timing too, because I plan to tattoo it onto my right thigh, to cover up that old MySpace tattoo, and the new URL fits perfectly!
August 17, 2009
New album! It might sound like shit, but at least it's NEW shit. Go to the Music Page right now and try out ALL TALK. If you don't like it (and you won't), rest assured there will be another album this fall, and that one will be much, much better. But for right now, it's really hot and humid in Studio Green Andy, and I just don't have the patience to record a good song when I've got 13 crappy ones ready to go. Beyond that, you might notice some changes to the website. Don't get too excited; aside from the color scheme shift, not much has changed. Oh, but I did add listings for a few new bands on the Bands Page, so go take a look at that.
Additionally, some of you may have noticed that I've given up my vaunted MySpace page. It was a tough decision, but my research and development team assures me that Facebook is where the kids are at these days, so Facebook is where I've gone. You can see my Facebook updates, including my daily record reviews, in the window at the top of this very page. And if you want to join my Facebook fan page, that's up there too. Knock yourself out.
June 7, 2009
Another terrific acoustic show last night, as part of the Angry Lemon Farewell Show. Audio will be forthcoming soon, but for now you can enjoy photos of the whole night, including hot pics of me and pals Stewart and Angry Lemon, as well as the Allston High School Wolf Spiders. Take a look!
April 25, 2209
Would you like to read a record review? I hope so, because I'm writing them. Go to my MySpace Blog, or else my CD Collection Page, and you can read all the record reviews your heart can stand. That is, as long as your heart can only stand eight reviews. I'm just starting out. More will be added soon, so read the ones that are there, and come back soon for more!
April 5, 2009
In the past I've sort of felt bad about making you all choose between spending your money on Green Andy or food. From now on, that's no longer a worry: all of my albums can be downloaded for free, either as individual songs or as one big ZIP file with all the tracks plus the full album art. There's really never been a better time to be a Green Andy fan. Even being a Green Andy foe is easier than it used to be, since now it's cheaper to do your research and find out just why you hate me so. Anyway, why are you still reading this? Go to my Music Page now and start downloading!
March 27, 2009
So, what do you like better? Green Andy live, or Green Andy albums? Those of you who wanted to say "all of the above" but were afraid of being laughed at, now it's YOUR chance to do the laughing. My new album, Jargon, is a live recording of my show from March 24 at Otto's Shrunken Head, and it features five brand-new songs, four of which were made up on the spot. Is it obvious from listening? You tell me. No seriously. You go listen, and tell me.
February 24, 2009
Time for a new Green Andy show, I'd say. And no more of this acoustic crap...Green Andy is overdue for some serious rocking! Come see me play live on Tuesday, March 24 at the always enjoyable Otto's Shrunken Head (I don't know if it's literally always enjoyable, but I've had a good time every time I've been there, so it's done okay by me). As usual with Otto's, there's no cover charge, and since it's a bar, you'd better have been born 21 years ago to get in. There'll be lots of music, free CDs, and lots of between song banter to pad out the set list. See you there!

February 7, 2009
Did you miss the Green Andy Acoustic-stravaganza? If so, hang your head in shame because it was a riotously good time, with fun performances of Green Andy songs old and new, plus delicious vegetarian cuisine and free CDs for all. But there's still some hope for you, because you can listen to the entire show (minus some of my incessant between-song chatter) on my Live page right now, and you can download an MP3 copy of the new free album too. I really feel I'm not punishing you non-attendees enough, but being kind-hearted has always been my Achilles heel.
January 24, 2009
Another Green Andy show, and you're not allowed to miss this one. It's an all ACOUSTIC performance by Green Andy (me) at Phoebe's Cafe in Williamsburg. The show will be at the totally respectable hour of 7pm, and the venue is a fun little vegetarian cafe that serves particularly delicious homemade brownies, so there's really no downside here, aside from my general inability to play guitar. But hey, I've got two weeks to fix that, so don't worry. Also, the show is ALL AGES, so bring the kids!
January 17, 2009
I'm sure I'm surprising no one when I inform you that yesterday evening's Green Andy performance was a shimmering diamond of musical excellence. The show, which took place at Goodbye Blue Monday, also featured Green Andy pals Angry Lemon, who performed their typically excellent repertoire of surly songs about how much they dislike everyone. Plus, I was able to snap off a new photo of the handsome duo, which I added to my Friends page! Green Andy favorites Stewart played a set, and despite the temporary absence of their lead guitarist, they were still able to pull off an exuberant pop punk performance as a three-piece. Plus, there was some guy named Justin Paris who I wasn't expecting, and he was pretty fun too. He sounds a lot like Kelsey Grammer, which I find very appealing in a singer.
Anyway, enough about all the non-Green Andys of the evening: Green Andy was the star attraction as usual. If you'd like to hear how it sounded, sort of, I had a recorder in my pocket the whole time, and it's now available on my Live Page. Plus, Goodbye Blue Monday records everyone who plays on their stage, so some YouTube videos of the show should be available shortly. So all of you assholes who didn't show up, bravo. You win anyway.
December 29, 2008
If you haven't noticed the changes on this website, then clearly you're not very observant. The color scheme of the entire site has been reversed, to exemplify the bold new directions Green Andy will be heading in within the upcoming year. Speaking of bold new directions, for my performance on January 16th, I have prepared my first ever COLOR flyer. Take a look!

November 28, 2008
As expected, the show was a phenomenal success on every level, except for the level of all of Green Andy's equipment working properly, but it functioned well enough to thoroughly rock the house over at Otto's Shrunken Head. My thanks go out to everyone who attended the show, and my eternal spite to those of you who didn't make it. Everyone who was there got a free copy of my latest album, WRESTONOMIC, but the rest of you are going to have to settle for downloading the songs from my Music Page.
November 23, 2008
I know, I know, it's tough to go out and see live music. It's cold, the drinks are too expensive, the chairs are uncomfortable. Plus, you always remember about halfway to the club that you forgot to bring earplugs, so you go to bed with your ears ringing so loud you can't sleep. Well, put all that negativity aside, because Green Andy's got a show on Friday the 28th (next Friday), and not only is it bare-assed FREE to get in, but he's also going to be handing out FREE copies of a brand-new album that's available nowhere else in the world! I don't know about you, but I can't think of any adversity that would keep me away from a treat like that. Then again, I'm a huge Green Andyfan, so maybe I'm not being totally objective here. Anyway, I strongly suggest you all get your asses to the show.

September 30, 2008
What do you do when you're bored? Watch an episode of Scrubs? Read a book? Volunteer at a soup kitchen? Well, while you're all wasting your time with that, Green Andy is making INSTANT ALBUMS. On September 29, from 9:10 to 10:50pm, I recorded a brand new mini-album front start to finish, drew up an album cover, and posted it on my website. And now, assuming you're still bored, you can download it here for free. I hope you like it! If not, you can have double your money back. And that's a guarantee.
August 16, 2008
Only a few more days until my sure-to-be triumphant show at Otto's Shrunken Head. In the meantime, there's some new Ask Green Andy questions and new photos, so go enjoy them and keep Wednesday's show in mind. If you even try to tell me you've got something more exciting to do on a Wednesday night, you'll be such a liar liar that your pants will surely be on fire.
July 5, 2008
You'd think that I wouldn't be too eager to accommodate the heartless bastards who didn't bother to show up to my May 19 show at the Trash Bar in Brooklyn, wouldn't you? Well, I'm a nice guy, so if you go to the Videos Page, you can see some YouTube-hosted highlights of the show! Oh, and speaking of shows, a new one has been scheduled for August 20 at Otto's Shrunken Head. The show is free, so if you're not there, I know that the real problem is me.

June 28, 2008
A boatload of thanks to those of you that showed up to the Stewart show this past Wednesday at Lit Lounge, and got to see ME play guest bass guitar! For those of you that didn't know about the show, you really only have yourself to blame for not being more aware. Stay tuned to these pages over the next week or so, because more Green Andy showdates are about to be added!
May 20, 2008
Well, the Strand Band Spectacular was last night, and it really was spectacular. Seven bands played, and not to sound like a hippie, but every single one of them was wonderful. Angry Lemon, Stewart, Our Precious Death Machine (which featured a young hotshot named ME filling in on bass guitar), Xzit, Mutiny of the Fashionistas, and Same Colors were all terrific. But hey, this is GreenAndy.com, and we don't have to pretend to be objective here. I was absolutely the best one of the night. Find out for yourself by going to my Live section and listening to the whole show!
May 3, 2008
I will be playing LIVE on May 19 at the Trash Bar, as part of the Strand Band Spectacular, which is a bunch of artists either employed by or associated with the Strand Bookstore. Personally I'm neither, but I did buy a used copy of Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? there a few months ago, so I suppose I qualify. Some of my favorite bands will be there, including Stewart, Angry Lemon, and Our Precious Death Machine, for whom I'll also be filling in on bass. The door price is $6.00, and if you're under 21 you may as well stay home and play hopscotch, or whatever it is that children do these days.
April 20, 2008
Buy my new album! Buy it buy it buy it!! BUY IT!
April 6, 2008
I'm a bit embarrassed by the hellaciously long delay between the last update and this one. But only a bit. After all, it's not like you're paying to view this page or anything. That said, I know a lot of you are emotionally invested in GreenAndy.com, so I've repaid your dedication with a new redesign for the entire site! There's one new section, the Lyrics Page, where you can read every tossed-off line that you weren't able to decipher by actually listening to the song. Actually, you can't read all of them, because some of them even I couldn't figure out. Anyway, in addition to that, next Saturday will be the debut of my first album for 2008, ANCIENT SECRET. It's a great time to be a Green Andy fan, so hold your head high.
December 6, 2007
I get it. My fans are poor. You're a bunch of broke-ass Section 8's, and music is too damned expensive. I do sympathize, so while I'm busy writing and recording new material for 2008, I've decided to lower the prices on all MP3 purchases! Go to my music page or MySpace right now, and all MP3s are now a mere 75 cents, down from the formerly ridiculous price of 89 cents. Take the spare $0.14 and save up for a copy of tomorrow's paper!
October 9, 2007
So they say that CD sales are dropping and dropping, and no one buys compact discs anymore. They probably have a point, but I'm still an old- fashioned guy, and my CD collection is up to TWO THOUSAND, FIVE HUNDRED AND ONE. Isn't that fucking incredible? Go to my CD Collection list and marvel at it.
October 2, 2007
I'm back, people! Lots of Green Andy Happenings are going to be...well...happening soon, but for now: all of you who aren't members of the Green Andy Mailing List, shame on you! There's tons of benefits to being on the list (free music, artwork, albums, pictures of my bare ass, etc.), and not a single drawback. So join today, by emailing greenandylist@greenandy.com and saying "Sign me up, jerkface!"
September 18, 2007
I'm going on Green Andy Sabbatical, people. Expect no communication from me until October 1st. But oh man, expect a LOT of communication from me after that. In fact, expect to get thoroughly sick of me after that.
September 2, 2007
A new Green Andy song, "Seventy-Four", is available on my main MySpace page. New Ts Ts Ts photos are available on their MySpace page. It's a good time to be a Green Andyfan, isn't it? Unless you still haven't bought all the albums that I've got for sale. In which case it's a fucking rotten time to be a Green Andyfan.
August 19, 2007
Tired of cluttering up your house with those filthy Green Andy CDs? Well, now you can buy individual songs, and only your computer need be cluttered! Go to my Music Page and make your purchases today!
Additionally, the new Asshole Holocaust album, THE GARBAGE STATE, is now available for sale at CDBaby.com. And the other night, you were really drunk and swore to me you'd buy one. So now you have to.
August 5, 2007
So they say that CD sales are dropping and dropping, and no one buys compact discs anymore. They probably have a point, but I'm still an old-fashioned guy, and my CD collection is up to TWO THOUSAND, FIVE HUNDRED AND ONE. Isn't that fucking incredible? Go to my CD Collection list and marvel at it.
July 21st, 2007
It's here! The first CD of 2007 that you actually have to pay for! Yay! Go to my albums and take a listen to CHKA CHKAAA. I'd say that you'll be surprised at how amazingly kickass it is, but I'm sure that won't surprise you at all. Also, the website looks completely different, so much so that it's barely worth pointing it out.
